Last night was the end of Ruby's day 3 and wow she went to bed in her crate at 11 with my dressing gown and didn't make a sound til 5.30. Hurray. Then out for a wee and poo and then I let her choose where to go. She settled by my bed until just gone 7. Amazing!!!She has been an absolute delight.
Yesterday she discovered flowerpots and what fun they are, also antlers and roots to chew.
Roxy has been struggling with her new baby sister. She was a bit better yesterday allowing the puppy a bit nearer without running away but today vast improvement even a bit playful. She seems genuinely nervous and doesn't know what to do with Ruby. Ruby is desperate to play with her but thankfully is very respectful. We find it odd as Roxy normally interacts with other dogs very easily at club and when we are out and about. Hoping time will do its job!!
Ruby loves walking round with something in her mouth, a true retriever.
Training has begun. Ruby is learning her name, how to follow food to do a sit, down and stand. We have also started on hand touching her first go at targeting. Such fun she is so willing but takes ages to eat her treats!
Toilet training going well but timing is crucial along with watching body language.
Walking is very tricky as she likes feet to chase, bite and lay on but we are getting there.
